Reviewer: Justine Rating: 3.95 of 5 Fairies (apparently! - lol) The Witch and The Werewolf was a read I normally would not have liked, but as always, April Fifer and Danielle Hylton-Outland didn’t fail to surprise me. I can hear Bex now, “Now picky, picky Justine what was it this time?!” Lol. Well ¾ of the story was in the male’s POV, and unless I have read the story first in female POV, I don’t normally connect. But my girls pulled it off and gave me a story that had me shocked with its twist and turns and had me loving it.

I'm a huge fan of were books and Heart did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the premise for the book, especially Rayne's history. There was lots of originality to the storyline as well the more typical developments that we expect from this genre. The characters, Rayne and Devin, were very easy to like. I genuinely enjoyed following their stories. There was a superb level of heat and passion, teamed with a mix of tension and drama. Certainly enough to get me hot under the collar.

First Bitten, by Samantha Towle, is an entertaining and gripping paranormal romance. Throughout the entire story, which I read in two sittings, I was completely caught up in the drama, action and characters. The main characters in particular were really easy to like and follow, with Nate happily taking a new role in my life as my newest book crush. Both Alex and Nate are complex creatures with aspects about their personalities and lives that are engaging and believable. Always a mark of success when a fantasy/paranormal work can achieve this! The author effectively developed their characters and relationship with dramatic tension and a plot that kept me on edge and actively cheering on the sidelines. I really liked the idea behind the Vârcolacs and the storyline that grew. Whilst First Bitten has many common features of the genre that are really enjoyable, the book also offers a range of original ideas too. Wolf Sirens: Forbidden by Tina Smith is an enjoyable YA read. Reminding me a little of The Secret Circle and a little of Twilight, Wolf Sirens: Forbidden focus on a wolf pack, a popular group of high school teenagers who all happen to be able to shapeshift into werewolves. I liked this connection. It immediately made me feel comfortable with the read, and I certainly enjoyed the focus on werewolves. There are a variety of twists that were completely unexpected and generally the pace was fast and character development was fitting. The array of characters developed by Tina Smith were fun to read and varied. I think she captured her characters' personalities and relationships well. The main character Lila really develops and grows as the book progresses, and most importantly is a likeable character. There are a couple of love triangles that unravel in Wolf Sirens: Forbidden. Releasing the Wolf by Dianna Hardy is a passionate paranormal fantasy with an effective build of suspense, drama and sexual tension. It was immediately obvious after reading the first few pages that Releasing the Wolf was going to be a hot read; I just didn't realise how hot and spicy it would be! There are an array of wonderfully crafted and well-developed characters ranging from the independent Lydia to the multitude of sexy men that come into her life. Did I mention how god damn hot they are! Hardy has created an interesting concept for her werewolf book. Whilst it follows several conventions that we'd expect from a shifter book, she has successfully manged to make Releasing the Wolf an original and unique read. Reviewer: Bex Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Fairies The opening of Cascades of Moonlight by Amy K. McClung immediately piqued my interest. This is not simply because I love shifter books, but I really liked the concept for Cascades of Moonlight. The idea that a girl has to cope with theses changes by herself intrigued me. Initially, I warmed to Parker's character. I liked her resolve and her focus. With the first introduction of Quinn, I enjoyed their relationship interactions and the range of plot twists that were hard to second guess. This really enabled me to continue enjoying reading this book. However, my attitude toward Parker did change somewhat as the book progressed. In the end, her reactions irritated me a little; they certainly frustrated me. Although, it could be easily interpreted that Amy K. McClung has therefore created a very realistic teenager! At times the storyline progressed at an unrealistic pace. Events or responses would happen that were a little too coincid...

There is a complete balance between character development, action and romance which Sharon Hannaford handles superbly well. Book two has a direct link to book one which was effectively linked and progresses smoothly. Yet I think what All Hell Breaks Loose achieves much more so than book one, is that real sense of completeness. I was left feeling totally satisfied.
