The Seven Deadlies, by Katherine Rochholz, is a powerful gripping story that effectively kept me engaged and on edge. We are greeted by the amazing protagonist Kari, a woman with a complex history and future, a Guardian. Kari's character is not one that I easily warmed to, yet I admired her characteristics, her dedication, and her ambition immediately. Her fiery, matter of fact nature was so very refreshing that she was a pleasure to follow. Teamed with her soul mate James, we travel with Kari along a pretty epic and visual journey. A journey thwart with excitement, danger and passion. We also travel many times to visit Lucifer, which offered a creative and often a very witty exchange and batter between these two engaging characters. The Seven Deadlies is a unique paranormal / supernatural read that will leave you desperate to know how Kari's story will develop. A very satisfying 4 fabulous fairies.
