Review: Absolution - Angela Louise McGurk

Absolution by Angela Louise McGurk Sarah-Jane's rating: 4 of 5 stars I think I struggled at first with this book because it jumped about back and forth through time and didn't explain itself fully so often I had noticed I was frowning whilst reading. At around 37% though that changed as the pieces started to take form into what was a most enjoyable read I must say. It had me laughing and hurting along with the characters and left a major storyline for a sequel. The characters are relatable but with deeper tragedy than normal people have and also doesn't explain certain threads of the story which you wonder about. This is enough to attract you to book two. I have it on my wishlist just now. I have read plenty other vampire stories and this is definitely in my top 20.

Double Review: Sweet Temptation & Sweet Surrender by Angel Steel

Sweet Surrender by Angel Steel Sarah Jane's rating: 5 of 5 stars What can I say about these two books, Sweet Surrender and Sweet Temptation? Well, for one, they REALLY kept me hooked; I mean for 23 hours my kindle never left my hand. I even fell asleep with it in my hand. They are hot, steamy and actually quite accurate which makes me wonder if our author is a submissive??? Also, how much does this story frustrate me beyond belief? How much upset can these characters have, but I love the books soooo much more because it isn't all happily ever after. These are two of the most amazing books I have read in so long that I can and will now stalk this author for the rest of her life... joking! No, seriously, my honest review is I love this series and am totally hooked. What a talented author Angel Steel is. Thank you for the book equivalent of chocolate!

Review: The Garnet Dagger - Andrea R. Cooper

The Garnet Dagger by Andrea R. Cooper Sarah Jane's rating: 5 of 5 stars   At first I was quite confused by Brock and how the story started it was not really explained, however the story moved on smoothly but with only little detail. After a few chapters however the info on Brock and his life and missions became clearer, none of this was a bad thing though as the lack of info at the start and subsequent chapters, had you making assumptions that were not always right. A truly fantastic book I must say. Five out of five.

Review: The Ninth Taghairm: Redemption - Pyxi Rose

The Ninth Taghairm: Redemption by Pyxi Rose Sarah Jane's Rating: 5 of 5 fairies On receiving this book, I wasn't sure what to expect as the title gave nothing away, I was pleasantly surprised to say this paranormal read was delightful. Talula is a lost soul who has adapted her miserable life to accepting her fate and being grateful for the enjoyment she can absorb. Gadin is a confused vampire who has decided not to live as a monster but he becomes enchanted by this lost soul and follows her into trouble. This is a very vague description; however, to give any more would be diluting a fantastic and gripping read. The Ninth Taghairm: Redemption (Taghairm Chronicles, # 1) by   Pyxi Rose   (Goodreads Author) There are far worse fates than death, but that is a truth Gadin Wilde knows all too well. He had to come to terms with his immortality from a sire that relished in the kill. He had eventually grown to accept the fact he was one of the damned; a vampire, an irredeem...

Review: Windows of the Soulless - Olivia Owens

Reviewer: Sarah Jane Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies Windows of the Soulless is about a man who constantly tries to be human, even as a vampire and always aims to do the right thing. However, he has and does have a terrible time with tragedy. I thought this book seemed really dark to begin with, but I still persevered, and to be honest, it was nothing like I thought. It was deep and thrilling, and I swear, I had it open for two days straight. I love how the main character tries to keep his good manners and breeding in place from his human life, even though he's old as dirt. This book is defo a must read for all you folks out there who want a good vamp story that's nothing like Twilight.

Review & Giveaway: Full Circle - Angela Ashcroft

Reviewer: Sarah Jane Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies From the beginning, I was hooked on Angela Ashcroft's Full Circle. I literally did not put it down for two days. (During work hours too may I add) Full Circle is about a loner girl, and how even though she tries so hard to hide herself away, she is noticed by her worst nightmare…and that’s all I’m going to give you as I would hate to give anything away. But seriously, Full Circle is a different spin on a vampire novel that will keep you occupied and hooked for the entirety. Paranormal fiends will no doubt devour it. Enjoy!
