The Man With the Green Suitcase  by  Dee Doanes Kati's rating:  5 of 5 stars I read this book very quickly. I loved the supernatural nod without it being 'in your face’ about it. It gives you a look at a normal life, with a bit here and there that seems paranormal, giving it just the right amount of supernatural undertone for the story. From the first words "Do you see him?", to the very last, I found myself trapped in this dark world the author, Dee Doanes, has woven. I felt the suspense building and with a desperate need to satisfy my curiosity on how everything was going to end.  The mystery of the suitcase kept me reading and guessing, but the biggest thing about this lovely book is the realism! From the word go, I was intrigued with this book, Falling in Love, as it is based on a true story. This story pulls you in and takes you on this journey with Sherry, the cravings of love and how she sought it out. It is not an easy ride for the character and you can't help but to feel Sherry's pain as she seeks the love she was denied growing up. Then she meets Paul and she believes it is love, but her addiction to sex destroys their love and again she is alone and faced with the addiction that is controlling and destroying her life. This is not an erotica story, it is one that shows what an addiction can do to ones life. it is a breathtaking story of heartache, and a very intense read for the reader. I loved this series!!! I had to read all of them!!!!  Here is my review for all Three: I must start out with that the development of the characters in these stories is fantastic!  It is what hit me the most out of this trilogy of stories!  This is a fantastic read for anyone who likes YA or Adult Sci-fi and I would recommend to any of my Sci-Fi friends!    The voices of all the characters can be found in these works.  Let me break down the three books a bit: In the first book, it is the religious overtones that I found most interesting buried into the writing. Dead Embers picks up immediately from where Dead Radiance finished.  And trust me it was heart wrenching!  This book takes a darker turn than book one and it makes the book.  The dark undertone takes nothing away, but gives everything to the plot.  This book takes you further into the world of Norse Mythology and takes you on a thrilling dark twisty ride that will leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat.    The romantic parts of the relationship are now flowing a bit easier and are more believable.  This is a great follow up to book one!  This book is full of emotion and action that anybody who likes books based in mythology will love!  A Solid 5 stars! There is no secret, I am a huge Mythology Geek and when I found out that I would be able to review this book, Dead Radiance by TG Ayer, and it had a lot do do with Norse Mythology , I got excited. It started off very slow and some times I just wanted to push the book away and not come back to it... The problem?  I didn't love the character Bryn at the beginning of the book. She tended to be kind of annoying.  But that being said I continued through and am glad I did! Once you hit about half way, the characters mature and you finally start to have the character love for Bryn, but some of the best characters were the supporting characters.  And I loved the details around Norse Mythology. The first half o f Debts and Druids , I felt confused.  I was jumping around and all over the place.  But about half way through things finally started to piece together.   It is quite an interesting story - Bob's wife has a bit of a nasty habit about overspending and Sarah has a hidden past.  The author kept me turning the pages, after all, the tale is quite interesting and worth the time to check the book out.  That being said, there were a lot of loose ends in the end and I didn't feel completely satisfied with the ending.   It is a quite a good storyline. I just felt there needed to be a bit more in the end.  I won't give much away because I don't want to include spoilers, but there is a big burning question in the end that I wanted answered and it was not.  However, the author's writing style and the tone of the characters kept me engrossed in the storyline and wanting more.  I rate this a 3. When I first started to read Skeletons of Birkbury by Diana J. Febry, I felt it moved very slowly and I was boggled down with a lot of details. That being said, it is very well written and successfully takes you into the world this author has created.   The characters are the best part of this book!  I liked the realism of the characters.  They had faults, they had positive and negative traits. They are so believable and with the vivid detail the author gives, it feels like you have known them forever.   This is a very British mystery and you won't find a charted and nicely laid out story line that will allow you to figure out the ending; the twists and turns the author creates leaves you guessing until the very end, which is always a plus in this reader's eyes.  After all, where is the fun of a mystery if you can figure out the ending in a couple of chapters?  If you like Mysteries, this book is for you.  I give it 4 ½ r...
