Countermeasure by Chris Almeida & Cecilia Aubrey Ann's rating: 4 of 5 stars I was completely sucked in to the mystery and intrigue of the story. Cassandra (Cassie) is a strong, intelligent woman who is not looking for love and is looking for her father’s approval. She is ex-CIA agent and was injured on the job, which made her rethink her future. She knows there was a traitor at the CIA but that story is never followed. She is assigned a security job by her father for a new drug and while on the job, the formula is stolen. Cassandra does not give up and enlists her ex-partner Nathan to help her find the information. Nathan, through the story, is a distraction, both to Cassandra and Trevor and to the story. He acts like the jilted suitor and unless he turns up in following stories, seems unnecessary.
