Review: The Royal Flush - D.N Simmonds

Reviewer: Brittany Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies Oh how much I ducking love reading these books. I have enjoyed each character, each word, each and every single book. For The Royal Flush I had a smile on my face from Walter to feet (a.k.a. very first word to the very last ). I laughed so much at points that my husband told me that a person should not laugh that much from a book. And I responded with “Shush it, Mister.” I literally lost time; I was so entranced in this story. Hours flew by and I didn’t even realize it until I was running late getting ready for work. So far from this series, this one was my favorite. Darian is this character that everyone knows, but no one really knows. You not only learn so much more about his past, but you also learn about his Maker, Kysen, and his past as well. Darian’s past created who he has become as a vampire. And I was very grateful what his history consisted of. It helped me understand the characteristics that I, as well as Natasha, didn’t ...

Review: The Guilty Innocent - D.N. Simmons

Reviewer: Brittany  Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies  Holy Hannah! I cannot express enough how much I loved this book. I read the last one and thought I'd love for this to be a series. And what do ya know...EUREKA! I was informed it was. Imagine how giddy I was when I learned of this and received the book. I was entranced from beginning to the end. I was even called a giggly little school girl at work I loved it so much. I think my stomach got quite the workout from this lovely novel. The dialogue is so good and Natasha is so brave. I'm glad that she has embraced her abilities more from the first book. It is very unfortunate what happened to Annette but I'm proud of how feisty Natasha became because of it. She was sad and forlorn when she found out and the lovely men in her life where there to help support her. This book is filled with strong, independent women and true flippin' gentleman. It's not everyday you get to read about the gentlemanly ways of these mal...

Review: Desires Unleashed - D.N. Simmons

Reviewer: Brittany Rating: 4 out of 5 Fairies Reading this book was really hard for me at first. I’m a firm believer of finish what you start; and thank goodness for that, otherwise I would have missed out on a really good book. This book starts out telling the story from four different perspectives. Various aspects tie together in each character’s tale, but overall they each tell their own story. This aspect was confusing to me at first. And even by the end of the book, I still don’t understand where one character had anything to do with the main story. But it was a good read nonetheless. The main story kept me on my toes. I wanted to know who this sick, twisted murderer was, and how it would be all tied together in the end. Certain “lifestyle choices” took me a little bit to get used to, but I eventually became comfortable with the literature. The mystery of it all was very enjoyable and once Natasha accepted her gift, I seen things were going to quickly come together. Never...
