Reviewer: Mary Jane Rating: 3 out of 5 Fairies Well written and detailed from the get go means if this genre, phsycholical-thriller/sci-fi, is for you then you will easily be enthralled. Although, it’s not a book for me - as I don’t think aliens on Earth in any continent in 1929 would have been as easily accepted as Baby was by Netty. Basically, it’s a story about an alien landing on Earth and changing the life of its finder for the better. Netty, the main character, has just escaped a deceptive and abusive husband and is trying to survive on her own. It contains some rape scenes and some sex scenes, but it’s not explicit if that’s not your thing, but I must say the writer gave more info on the rapes than on the intimate relationship which was actually quite confusing. It gave a jaded aura to the book and made me wonder about the author’s intention. It’s easy to say this book is a cliff hanger and has a really strong storyline. I just personally think that the era is odd...
