Reviewer: Emily Rating: 4 out of 5 Fairies Trapped was one of the most heart wrenching books that I have ever read. It tells the story of a young woman that is left paralyzed after a surgical “mishap”. Jackee and her boys are in a terrible accident that left her face covered in scars. During facial reconstructive surgery, she becomes paralyzed. She is only able to blink her eyes, but she can understand everything that is going on. This is her story. We get to see inside her mind. A mind yearning for freedom from the prison of her useless body. Her story is moving and courageous but also extremely sad. Jackee is married to a sadistic man. He is happy that his wife was left completely unable to care for herself. Watching the way he treated her was chilling. There is a bit of a love story between Jackee and her therapist Kevin.
