Review: Blood Moon - J.L. McCoy

Blood Moon by J.L. McCoy Justine's rating: 4 of 5 stars THAT’S IT! JL McCoy is killing me! I am so torn with this one. I was slow to warm. The long wait from last release, I had to relearn just why I love this series, so damn much! But once hooked, I was a goner. Then it was just… OVER! I wanted, I needed more! I NEEDED a resolution and I WANTED it in Dean and Nikki’s POV. It was kind of a let down for a freaking awesome story. This is a must read to move on in the series. And on the DL, I have heard whispers of a Permanent Pack Spin-Off! This reviewer has her kidneys crossed that this piece of gossip comes to life. 4 Seriously Needy Fairies!

Paranormal Pumpkin Patch Day Twenty-Four w/ Giveaway - J.L McCoy

"Yum, Skye!" she said, licking the sour sugar from her thumb and wagging her eyebrows. "How sexy is that? Hot guy suddenly appears and rescues damsel in distress," she said playfully. She fanned her face with her hand, put on her best Scarlett O'Hara accent, and shouted, "Take me to bed or lose me forever!" - Blood of the Son (#1 Skye Morrison) by @J.L. Review: Revelation of Blood - JL McCoy

Reviewer: Justine Rating: 4 out of 5 Fairies Revelation of Blood is book 5 of the Skye Morrison Vampire Series, as with all long running series’s u eventually hit what I call the Filler Book. Now don’t freak, this is a good thing! A Filler Book dose just that. It FILLS in the gaps, answers plaguing questions, and usually give the reader a feeling of conclusion to this current phase of the main characters life in order to move on to the next. Revelation felt like a Filler Book to me. Book 5 gave us a little less action and naughtiness and a LOT more answers, understanding, and emotional healing. The timing seemed perfect, after the first 4 books I was starting to feel a bit angsty for answers. JL McCoy was able to smoothly sooth this with an informative and resolving story line. Now comes the downer. Miss McCoy is no stranger to leaving us swinging off her Mt. Everest of cliffhangers, but this time was different. Of course she gave us her usual slow, sweet, suspenseful buil...

Review: Skye Morrison Vampire series by J.L. McCoy

Reviewer: Justine Rating: 4.5/5 Fairies Skye Morrison Vampire series, by J.L. McCoy, consists of Blood of the Son (book #1), Sins of the Father ( book #2), and The Original Sin (book #3) and the recently released Legacy of Blood (review out very soon!). This series floored me! I was sucked in (pun intended) from the very beginning with book one and was screaming “OFF WITH HER HEAD” (that would be J.L. McCoy’s head I was looking for) by the end of book 3! Even though they were all decent size books at just under 250 pages each, I gobbled them down in the record time of a day and a half. With all this awesome there is of course a catch. Sadly, Miss McCoy committed a cardinal Justine sin in two of the three books! The ending had no conclusion! I got to the last sentence turned the page..…… and my e-reader smacks me across the face with a blank page!!!!! I was all "Holy Cliffhanger Batman!!” I am giving this series an overall 4.5 fairies! But warn you that you may want to bu...

Just a couple more days left with our lovely AUTHOR OF THE WEEK  J.L McCoy. Today, we have just a few short questions for her, that will help us to see what really makes her tick! On Sunday, I hope you got chance to read our very positive 4 star review of Blood of the Son, book one in J.L's Skye Morrison Series.   Random Questions: 1.      What’s in your fridge right now? Hummus, cheeses, leftover take-out, tons of condiments, beer, and plenty of ice. 2.      What song do you sing at the top of your voice every time you hear it? I sing a lot and I love music, so it’s hard to pick just one song, but I’d have to go with anything by Adele.   I love her music. 3.      Who would win in a fight: Harry Potter or Ron Weasely? And why? As long as they aren’t fighting each other, I’m going to go with Ron here.   He’s got a lot to prove being best friend to the famous Harry Potter....

Giveaway & Review: Blood of the Son (Book #1 Skye Morrison Series) by J.L McCoy

Goodreads Synopsis Skye Morrison has a lot in common with today’s college graduates; she’s neck-deep in student loan debt and desperate for a job. For four years, the nightlife of Austin, Texas (home of Skye’s Alma Mater) has satiated her thirst for good music, a revamp in fashion and men – especially local musician, Jameson Doyle, but her spot as a waitress at Drop Kick Dan’s bar wasn’t going to cut the slack. A personal life troubled by a hounding ex only made matters worse. Skye was never the damsel in distress type, but when an unexpected public shouting match with her ex turned physical, a savior disguised as a heavenly gorgeous Irishman came to her rescue. Archer Rhys, a businessman with a lot to offer, doesn’t exactly sweep Skye off her feet but she couldn’t help but to be captivated by his ravenous good looks. When Archer makes Skye a lucrative job offer as his personal assistant for his new downtown Austin club, The Mausoleum, she quickly finds out that she ma...
