Reviewer: Bex Rating: 4/5 Stars Thunderstorm, by J.M Schroder, is an action packed, romance driven, sister-bonding urban fantasy. The array of characters that J.M has created is pretty impressive. There really is an eclectic mix of strong female characters teamed with the collection of drool worthy dragon shifters. Plus the baddies are pretty terrifying too which is also a bonus. The passion between the characters is almost palpable, making Thunderstorm a hot and steamy 18+ read. Throughout the entire book, there were so many pivotal moments that really engaged me. The pain and suspense experienced by the characters was well-crafted and evoked a good level of empathy from me. I really enjoyed the concept and storyline of this book. There was a lot of originality to both the story's development and its characters. Whilst overall, I really enjoyed the progress and development of Thunderstorm, the editing, however, had several flaws which at times was a little dist...

The Man With the Green Suitcase  by  Dee Doanes Kati's rating:  5 of 5 stars I read this book very quickly. I loved the supernatural nod without it being 'in your face’ about it. It gives you a look at a normal life, with a bit here and there that seems paranormal, giving it just the right amount of supernatural undertone for the story. From the first words "Do you see him?", to the very last, I found myself trapped in this dark world the author, Dee Doanes, has woven. I felt the suspense building and with a desperate need to satisfy my curiosity on how everything was going to end.  The mystery of the suitcase kept me reading and guessing, but the biggest thing about this lovely book is the realism! How, as a reader, I could find myself relating to the characters and how, as with real life, the characters were on a non-stop journey to achieve their goals, every moment taking them a step closer. I immediately enjoyed Mags' character, the protagonist. She is somewhat similar to other heroines of urban fantasy; feisty, ballsy, attractive and overall pretty bad-ass. I have no issues with this at all. That's one of the main reasons why I love female leads in this genre. What Olivia Martinez offers however, through the creation of her character, is a new type of supe. And a pretty cool one at that!
