The Truth (The Descendant Vampire Series, #3 by Kelley Grealis Justine's rating: 4.5 of 5 stars This review took me a while to write because I was both disappointed and in love with it. I love how Kelley went about answering all our questions and resolved all the mysteries. The writing and creative crafting of this paranormal series really made it a beautiful and intense read. My beef was with Allison and the crappy men in her life. Halfway through, I was ready to give up and wanted her to dump both of their dumb butts. Though Angel-Hubby boy did seem to take steps toward being redeemable. I just never felt either deserved her. And that’s all I can say without giving away too much. The Search (Book 2 in The Descendant Vampire Series) I actually had to prepare this read and am so happy that I did. Miss Grealis’s debut novel, The Descendant, was a fast paced, impassioned, serious read. Which had me both anticipating and dreading this read. Anticipating, because like I expected, The Search was an emotionally charged, action packed, quick read.  Dreading, because… HOLY BOOK-HANGOVER, BEXMAN!! She answered all the questions left from book 1, then I blinked and it was the climax. Followed by a beautifully crafted ending. But what it is, is easily one of the best written books, I have read in a while. Kelley Grealis’ flow and weaving of the back-story into the current time was very effectively created and developed. ‘The Descendant’ is most definitely a serious read. Be prepared and get yourselves ready for that. There’s absolutely no YA vampire fluff here. Kelley Grealis successfully had me crying before I made it to chapter four, and pissed by chapter nine as I started to figure things out. This really was a rollercoaster of a book that struck a nerve on so many amazing levels. As for the ending - you know I am a stickler for an ending - Kelley Grealis did me proud! She successfully gave me an ending that left me feeling fulfilled with a clear conclusion, while leaving a crack of an opening for more. Bravo! 4.5 fairies!  Goo...
