Patch Up by Stephanie Witter Suzi's rating: 5 of 5 stars Emotional, captivating read. I loved the build up of the characters, I could feel what they are feeling and it drew me into the story like reading about people you really care about. I had a hard time putting it down, even though the emotions got to me a few times and I wanted to throw my Kindle. Lol. Skye is an amazing young woman going through a hard time after moving to Seattle to go to college with her high school boyfriend, who then dumps her in a new place with no friends and a room mate who is entirely too bubbly for her current situation. She feels too broken to meet new people and then when she literally collides with Duke, things start slowly changing her and him. I can’t wait to read the next in the series! Definitely a new favorite author for me.

King Cave by Scarlett Dawn Bex's rating: 5 of 5 stars   King Cave is a sensational follow-up to the epic first instalment King Hall. The author successfully pushes her characters to the extremes and throws in so many heart-wrenching bumps along the way, that I inhaled this novel. I cried. I laughed. I swooned. The author, Scarlett Dawn, blew me away with her ability to evoke such strong emotions from me. I read. A LOT. And while I have read so many amazing 5 star reads, this book, and series, is off the charts phenomenal. It has everything that I personally love: an array of supernaturals, gripping suspense, hot and heavy sex scenes and tender romance and friendships. It is a novel and series that I could forever talk about and most definitely read repeatedly. And yes, I'm gushing; it's hard not to. A truly amazing 5 star read.
