Even if your preference isn't vampire novels, this book appeals to romance and fantasy readers too! By moving the narrative voice between Mia and Breckt (and occasionally some other characters too), Riley creates a compelling cast and a dark, twisted narrative. We're forced to care for Mia because of what we know (and what she doesn't). We watch as our heroine, Mia, who is desperately in love with her fiancé Oliver, fights the compulsion and attraction to one of the most beautiful and seductive men she has ever met.
