Blood Runs Deep by J. Thiele Sue's rating: 4.5 of 5 stars This was a book that was out of my norm for reading and it was an intriguing story. Casey is a strong main character as a detective who hold her own in a man's world. She has. Las sic boss who is very vocal but fatherly and male co-workers who push her buttons. This is a whole different approach to the vampire story with a good one, a long history that involves Casey and a fight of good against evil. I found it to be exciting and extremely captivating to the point I could not put it down. Then when it comes to the end, it leaves you wanting to read the next book in the series. The main character, Minka, is a twin with a negative self-image and is infatuated with her sister's fiancé. Her love interest is a tattooed, rich playboy with his own issues who loses his heart to Minka in two weeks' time. There are enough hot sexy encounters, angst, and laughter to keep you turning the pages plus a wonderful happy ending.
