With the help of an unconventional support system consisting of her single best friend, her domestic helper, a very tolerant garden boy, and two 3 year olds, Emma embarks on a journey of reinvention and tries to rebuild her life from the ground up. What she wasn’t counting on was meeting Trey - an alluring musician who makes her come alive in a way that both terrifies, and excites her all at once.

But not everything is as it seems, and Trey’s real identity threatens to once again shake the very foundation on which Emma’s new life is built. In a country rife with political struggles, Emma fights to hang on to the ones she holds dear, and will come to find that loss is sometimes an unavoidable truth on the road to starting over.

Plot 109, Acacia, is a touching, and emotionally riveting story set on a rural plot outside Johannesburg in volatile South Africa.

EXCERPT

The enormous black woman bent to pick something up, and it took Emma a moment to grasp that she was collecting the goggas (slang for insects) to cook. She grimaced slightly, finding the idea of eating flying ants repulsive, and her thoughts turned to what to make for dinner for Richard.

A short while later, the front door opened and closed behind her and she heard her husband’s familiar step. He wandered through to his family sitting outside, tugging his tie off as he reached them. Emma smiled up at him as he stood watching the spectacle in front of him for a few seconds, before he said abruptly, “Hi, Em, I’ve got something to tell you.”

Embraced by C.E. Black Ann's rating: 5 of 5 stars Read as a standalone.  This is a fantastic book. It is an easy read but don’t start reading it too late at night or you will probably end up with a book hangover. It is very difficult to put down. Sean is a lost wolf. The woman he loves has married another man, and he is heartbroken. To relieve his suffering, he decides to get out of town and have a drink or two, then he meets Sarah. Sarah is a business owner of a bakery called Decadent Delights and her life seems to be going just the way she wants…until she meets Sean at the bar. Instantly there is an overwhelming attraction and she takes him home with her. Hot animalistic sex occurs (pun intended since Sean is a werewolf). But Sean leaves after one night. He can’t stay because Sarah is human and humans don’t mate with wolves. Two months later, Sarah has a major surprise and goes looking for Sean. And then the fun really begins. This story has sorrow, angst, anger but als...

Tomorrow is the release day of Christine Wenrick's 'The Charmed Fates', the final installment of her amazing trilogy.  We'd like to say a HUGE congratulations to Christine on the amazing success of her fabulous trilogy. Reviewer: Em Rating: 5/5 Wow, oh wow!! This book  didn’t disappoint me one iota. I opened to the first page to be induced and transported back into the world of Caleb, Olivia, Jax and Gemma. I started to read and couldn’t put the book down. I wasn’t surprised as I had had the same experience with the first two books, the storyline wrapped around me and enfolded me thoroughly taking me on the journey.
