Struggling attorney Hope Kendall loves her outlaw biker boyfriend Rochlan “Rock” North with all her heart, but the questionable activities his motorcycle club is involved in threaten her legal career. But does she even want this career anymore?

As a near-death situation makes their professional differences seem insignificant, a cloud descends over their personal relationship’s already unsteady future.

Even though Hope seems to have finally found her niche in the club as Rock’s ol’ lady, can she mingle in politics with neighboring clubs as well? A trip to the Lost Kings MC downstate charter will put her to the test.

While Rock works hard to give Hope the honesty she craves without betraying his loyalty to his brothers, tension from outside forces threatens to push him to the brink. But it’s the one secret Hope has hidden all along that may finally drive them apart for good.

5 Reasons to Love Hope Kendall
by Autumn Jones Lake

Romance readers tend to be harder on the heroine. Personally, I find it easier to identify with a heroine who is flawed and makes mistakes—as long as she owns up to them at some point. I like a heroine who earns her happy ending, not by changing who she is, but growing and evolving.
Honestly, as long as the hero loves the heroine—flaws and all, then I’ll love her too.
Hope and Rock come from two completely different worlds. She’s a good girl lawyer and he’s the president of an outlaw motorcycle club.
Since my hero, Rock, is already so over-the-top awesome (in my opinion!), I’m going to give you 5 reasons to love his ol’ lady Hope.
  1. She doesn’t judge people. A pretty standard storyline in a lot of MC Romances is the “ol’ lady” vs. “club whore.” Hope likes everyone unless they give her a reason not to. The first person in Rock’s MC she makes friends with is club girl, Trinity.
I don’t know what her arrangement with Wrath or any of the other guys is. And really, it’s not my business what consenting adults do with their bodies.
What I do know is Trinity has been kind to me since day one, and I like to think we’re friends.
In fact, when a more experienced “old lady” tells Hope to put Trinity in her place…
To borrow an expression from my man, like fuck is that happening.
  1. She isn’t afraid to fight for what she believes in.

From Rock’s POV.
I think about the wisdom of Heidi asking Hope questions about her man. “Uh, babe. Part of being an ol’ lady now. You can’t be starting trouble. She asks you a question like that again and you know different, you need to just lie.”

She jackknifes into a sitting position. “What are you talking about? If I see him cheat on her, I’m not supposed to say anything?”

“Correct.” I should know better by now. Telling my mouthy lawyer woman to drop something is about the same as waving a red flag in front of a bull.
“No. That’s bullshit. If someone’s in an open relationship, she should at least know about it. Otherwise, what’s the point?”
  1. She isn’t too proud to say she’s sorry.
As I step into the hallway, I dig my cell phone out of my purse and send Rock a text.
I’m sorry.
Simple, direct, and honest.

  1. She has a sense of humor.
He raises an eyebrow and pulls out the paddle. “Now what am I supposed to do with this?”
“Bend over?” I suggest helpfully, which gets a laugh from everyone at the table, even Rock.

  1. She knows what’s important.
“I’m sorry I’m not a good man, Hope.”
She sucks in a deep breath. “Don’t ever say that. You’re good to me. Your brothers. To your club. That’s all that matters.”

When she’s not writing, Autumn spends time listening to music, going to concerts, and driving her family nuts. She enjoys reading, gardening, acting, and collecting nail polish. (Her husband says she shouldn’t be allowed to include gardening in her list of hobbies, because she makes him do all the work, but that’s not relevant.)

Autumn lives in Upstate New York with her husband and their three rescue dogs. She is actively involved with several dog rescue groups and her local RWA chapter.

Review: Embraced (Enduring Kiss #4) - C.E. Black

Embraced by C.E. Black Ann's rating: 5 of 5 stars Read as a standalone.  This is a fantastic book. It is an easy read but don’t start reading it too late at night or you will probably end up with a book hangover. It is very difficult to put down. Sean is a lost wolf. The woman he loves has married another man, and he is heartbroken. To relieve his suffering, he decides to get out of town and have a drink or two, then he meets Sarah. Sarah is a business owner of a bakery called Decadent Delights and her life seems to be going just the way she wants…until she meets Sean at the bar. Instantly there is an overwhelming attraction and she takes him home with her. Hot animalistic sex occurs (pun intended since Sean is a werewolf). But Sean leaves after one night. He can’t stay because Sarah is human and humans don’t mate with wolves. Two months later, Sarah has a major surprise and goes looking for Sean. And then the fun really begins. This story has sorrow, angst, anger but als...

Tour Review, Post & Giveaway: Shudder - Samantha Durante

Reviewer: Bex Rating: 4 out of 5 Fairies Shudder is a strong follow on from Stitch, a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. What I particular enjoyed and thought that the author managed extremely well was the multiple viewpoints that she built in with the narrative. Not only did this allow us extra insight into the characters, but also the varying points of views added lovely depth to the novel. Samantha Durante's craft has improved and developed since book one. On the whole, her writing is tighter and flows that much easier. There were still a few moments within the dialogue that I felt was a little awkward, yet others could easily disagree. I’m just a stickler and very particular with dialogue. Yet again, there’s a fabulous twist that Durante mastered with skill and ease. This one wasn’t quite as much as a shocker as Stitch, but it still successfully made me do a double take just to be certain. Just the same as Stitch, Shudder left me ready and most definitely eager for t...
