Breaking apart, they stared at each other, both panting heavily. Backing away a few steps, Carly placed her hand on her chest, trying to slow her breathing. Will took a step towards her but she shook her head, taking another step back.

“Will? Are you in here?”

“I’ll be right there, Jacob,” she answered for him, the tremor in her voice less obvious than she would have imagined. “I can’t do this, Will. I don’t want to. You’ll be leaving as soon as you’ve found the person you’re looking for. I won’t be a fling.”

Stepping close, he ran his thumb along her lower lip as he responded. “You’re wrong about two things. You do want to do this; you wouldn’t have kissed me back if you didn’t. And maybe I have found the person I’ve been looking for.”

I opened to the first page to be induced and transported back into the world of Caleb, Olivia, Jax and Gemma. I started to read and couldn’t put the book down. I wasn’t surprised as I had had the same experience with the first two books, the storyline wrapped around me and enfolded me thoroughly taking me on the journey.
