Surrender provided a pretty epic fantasy read which I had the please listening to by audiobook. While at times, this book left me confused, it did leave me with an appreciation for the beauty of a well-crafted story.

Rhiannon Paille world is a spectacular fantasy world. It's clever, original and crafted to perfection. Sometimes, I found the details a little overwhelming - there was a lot of it - yet I appreciated the visual world she created.

This applies to her well-constructed characters too. Kaliel and Krishani were a pleasure to discover and follow. Their world was exciting as much as it was heartbreaking. The author successfully managed to make me care about her characters, so much so I was eager to discover where their stories would take them.

I listened to the audio version of this. It was an 8 hour pleasure, and I think it many ways better than reading the book to myself. One because it would have taken a darn site longer than 8 hours, but it also prevented me from getting twitchy fingers and scanning ahead - admittedly I do this when there's so much attention to detail.

An entertaining story.

Review: Embraced (Enduring Kiss #4) - C.E. Black

Embraced by C.E. Black Ann's rating: 5 of 5 stars Read as a standalone.  This is a fantastic book. It is an easy read but don’t start reading it too late at night or you will probably end up with a book hangover. It is very difficult to put down. Sean is a lost wolf. The woman he loves has married another man, and he is heartbroken. To relieve his suffering, he decides to get out of town and have a drink or two, then he meets Sarah. Sarah is a business owner of a bakery called Decadent Delights and her life seems to be going just the way she wants…until she meets Sean at the bar. Instantly there is an overwhelming attraction and she takes him home with her. Hot animalistic sex occurs (pun intended since Sean is a werewolf). But Sean leaves after one night. He can’t stay because Sarah is human and humans don’t mate with wolves. Two months later, Sarah has a major surprise and goes looking for Sean. And then the fun really begins. This story has sorrow, angst, anger but als...

Reviewer: Em Rating: 5/5 Wow, oh wow!! This book  didn’t disappoint me one iota. I opened to the first page to be induced and transported back into the world of Caleb, Olivia, Jax and Gemma. I started to read and couldn’t put the book down. I wasn’t surprised as I had had the same experience with the first two books, the storyline wrapped around me and enfolded me thoroughly taking me on the journey.
