Goodreads Synopsis
Amazon bestselling author Sophia Knightly delivers two fun, sexy and heartwarming romances of her Tropical Heat Series in one bundled volume.
In Wild for You (Book One), Detective Clay Blackthorne has his hands full when he promises to safeguard an old college pal's sister without letting her know what he's up to. He never imagines that lively Marisol Calderon will knock his socks off and put a ring on his finger--and all at his suggestion! Their marriage of convenience is meant to protect her and Clay doesn't plan on being hitched for long to the tempting beauty. But the honeymoon sure feels real to him...
Sassy Marisol is used to doing whatever she wants--and right now her plan is to shake up the hot detective's hard-edged demeanor. But the fun turns to danger when a mystery stalker bent on marrying her marks her as his prey. Temporarily becoming Clay's wife seems like a practical way to thwart the stalker. But as passion ignites and Marisol falls for the tender heart buried beneath the tough detective's chest, Clay's true identity is revealed and she begins to wonder who--if anyone--she can trust...
In Sold on You, (Book Two) Confirmed bachelor Dr. Marcos Calderon is in hot water. He needs to come up with a fake fiancée fast or he'll disappoint his beloved grandma who's arriving on the next flight to meet her. Proper social worker Gabriela Morales should fit the bill--but tonight, in that sexy, slit-to-there red evening gown, she looks anything but proper.
Gabriela only volunteered for the hospital's charity bachelorette auction to benefit a cause dear to her heart. Now she's reeling from the hot doctor's bid of fifteen thousand dollars for a weekend date with her! She's not sure what Dr. Handsome has in mind, but the smoldering look in his eyes is unmistakable...

- Tell
us a bit about yourself.
I am an optimist by nature. I
love to laugh and find humor in most situations. That’s probably why I enjoy
writing romantic comedy. Anytime I can make someone smile or feel good, I’m
happy.
- How
did you come up with the title ‘Tropical Heat’ for your series?
My series is set in South
Florida where the tropical heat has a personality all its own. It governs the way we dress, what we eat and
how we work and play. When I hear tropical heat, I envision a hot sun
surrounded by an orange glow, coconut laden palm trees, sultry breezes in the
evening and interesting personalities in a melting pot that beats to its own
exotic rhythm.
- Describe
your main character in five words.
Detective Clay Blackthorne in Wild for You is sexy, strong, honorable,
alpha and protective.
- What
was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
I’m always amazed at how vividly
the book I’m writing comes to life for me. It’s as if I’m immersed in a movie--the
action, dialogue and emotions engage me in a powerful way.
- What
is your work schedule like when you're writing?
When I’m writing a book, I set a
deadline and write full-time until I finish it. But life happens, so my days
aren’t always identical. Here’s my usual schedule: After my morning walk and
breakfast, I do my email correspondence and check into social media for about
an hour. Then I read what I’ve written the previous day to get into the scene
and start writing until I break for lunch. After lunch, I write until about 4
pm. I just started working out with the Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred DVD, and
I do the workout every other day. It gives me an incredible surge of energy
that lasts into the evening.
- What
book are you reading now?
I am reading two books, Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes by Denise
Grover Swank and Burn in Hell, A Jake
Carrington Mystery by Marian Lanouette. Both are fabulous reads!
- Do
you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
The biggest joy of writing books
is sharing my stories with my readers. It thrills me when someone says they
stayed up all night to find out what happened next in my romantic suspense, or
that they laughed out loud while reading one of my romantic comedies, or that
they finished my romance with a happy sigh.
Romantic love and passion is the
essence of life; it’s the catalyst that caused most of us to be conceived. I
can’t think of any other job I’d rather do than writing love stories with the
promise of a happily ever after!
Random Questions:
- What’s
in your fridge right now?
My fridge is filled with Fuji apples, navel oranges, clementine tangerines, lemons, strawberries and blueberries…can you tell I love fruit? There’s also an array of veggies and salad fixings, black forest ham, sliced mozzarella, goat cheese, eggs, milk and chocolate cake. My daughter and her boyfriend are visiting, so there are lots more goodies, but I’ll leave it at that. J
- Other
than writing, what special or unusual talent(s) do you have?
In addition to writing novels, I
love to write screenplays. My other passions are decorating, traveling, going
to museums, the movies and especially Broadway shows.
3. If someone wrote a biography about you, what do
you think the title should be?
The Unsinkable Sophia Knightly.
