Giveaway & Review: Change (Kitsune #1) by Melissa Stevens

Goodreads Synopsis A sudden life threatening injury turns Nickie’s world on its ear, but not in a way she ever would have predicted. Nickie finds out that not only do shape-shifters exist, but she is one. The Kitsune are a race of shape-shifters that have been living in secret alongside humans for centuries. As Nickie struggles to master her newly discovered shape-shifting and the abilities it brings her, she learns that some of the people in her life are far more than she knew. Can Nickie handle all the changes headed her way on her own? Or does she have someone who can help her? What was immediately refreshing with Change, is that Melissa Stevens is very adamant that this is a novel about shape-shifts not werewolves. Don't get me wrong, I love werewolves, but I really liked that this book was based on a race of shifters who are in control of their actions, behaviour and thoughts, and are not simply driven by the moon.  In the novel we are introduced to a...

Review: Seduce (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series #3) by Felicity Heaton

Reviewer: Bex Rating: 5 out of 5 I was not particularly a fan of Antoine in book 2; his distance and apathy helped me to empathise with Callum and Kristina. So when I realised book 3 was centred on his character, I wondered how Felicity would win me over. And geez, win me over she did! Antoine, is still the same vampire from Covet and Crave, yet what I discovered in Seduce is his tortured beautiful soul. His bond with his brother Snow *sigh* is so beautifully crafted and presented, that it really allowed me to not only warm up to Antoine’s character, but I was ready to melt in his arms.

Review & Giveaway: Truth and Lies Past and Present by Katherine Rochholz

Goodreads Synopsis Katherine Lillian Fitz had only known one type of world... one of hard living on the streets. Then she finds out she is a witch. Now she is thrown into a new world, her world, and for once she thought life would be better. But she was wrong. A dark force is out to kill her, and she is shocked to her core when she finds out how important to her life this person is. Will she be able to come out the victor with her innocence intact or will she once and for all lose the young innocence she has even though she had lived on the cold hard streets of New York? Only time will tell... Truth and Lies Past and Present is a lovely read complete with a collection of well-developed and described characters. I liked the mixture of childhood innocence with real-life issues, all tied together in a big ball of magic. I love fantasy reads, and whilst I enjoyed this as an adult reader, I do think it will be appreciated more by a younger reader. So, armed with my ‘teacher-head’...
