Their bond is undeniable. But love might be the most dangerous truth of all.

Falling for the monster who ruined your life?

Yeah. That wasn't on Pax's Terrafeara survival bingo card.

Pax has spent ten years surviving in Terrafeara's shadows, helping Riftborn escape the Queen's brutal regime. The last thing he needs is Commander Varek Zathrian—the male who killed his husband and shattered his life—turning up on his doorstep claiming they're fated mates.

Varek knows Pax hates him. He knows he deserves it.

What he doesn't know is how to stop loving the male who was always meant to be his.

As rebellion brews and dangerous secrets threaten to tear worlds apart, Pax and Varek must decide whether fate is a curse... or the one thing strong enough to save them both.
