Review: New Leaves, No Strings by C.J. Fallowfield

New Leaves, No Strings (The Austin Series #1)New Leaves, No Strings by C.J. Fallowfield
Lynn's rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved Mia's character. She is smart, sexy and funny. Also bluntly honest. Gage is hot and sexy and is so sweet. He is determined to get Mia to change her mind and have a relationship. Mia wants to stick with the plan, but the sex is out of this world -- how can she give that up. All Gage has to do is look at her and she melts.

Lexi plays a big part in the story. She has her issues to deal with and even though she is going through her own crap, and she is the one who talked Mia into the 'hump and dump', she sees how wonderful Gage is for her and keeps trying to push them together.

This is part one is a six part series and is a wonderful read.

New Leaves, No Strings (The Austin Series #1)

So that was sex, I liked it, I really liked it, thought Mia Page as she tried to recover from an Olympic worthy orgasm. She looked into the vivid blue eyes of sex god Gabe Austin who was still holding her up against her bedroom wall and she also thought shit what have I gone and gotten myself into? Why would anyone only want sex no strings with this guy?

Best friends Mia Page and Lexi Clarke start University and make a pact to turn over a new leaf. Tainted by their pasts, they’re going to try and get over their commitment phobias. Mia’s going to lose her virginity with hot, no strings attached sex. The rebellious Lexi’s going to try ditching her one night stands in favour of attempting to have a relationship.

What Mia didn’t count on however was Gabe Austin, confident, sexy and irresistibly gorgeous, who quickly inserts himself into her life. Inextricably drawn to each other, their desire soon leads to a passionate encounter. Gabe’s fears of abandonment and his domineering personality, along with Mia’s own fears of attachment, threaten to derail his attempts to ensure she becomes his, heart body and soul. Despite Mia’s reticence, Gabe Austin’s a guy who is used to getting what he wants. Just as he seems to have won Mia around, he goes and does something that could ruin everything.

This is a debut fictional novel for C.J. Fallowfield and combines erotica with romance and humour.

The Austin Series is six books in total, all written from Mia Page's point of view, and they are designed to be read in the following sequence:

New Leaves, No Strings
Baggage & Buttons
Forever & an Engine
The Honeymoon Period
Love & Loss
Infinite Love
In addition, there is a prequel to The Austin Series called Destined, written from Gabe Austin's point of view, available now, FREE from Goodreads, Amazon.com or Smashwords

Reviews: Confessions of a Paris Party Girl - Vicki Lesage

Confessions of a Paris Party Girl by Vicki Lesage Lynn's rating: 4 of 5 stars Vicky needed a change from her mid-western life. Well what's a girl to do except move to Paris. After back-packing through Europe during collage breaks she wanted to try living there. Where better way to continue with her love affair with wine. This book was smart, sassy and fun. Trying to live in a new city with basic French, having to make all new friends and still have the time of your life. Everything from finding her apartment the first time to placing adds for meeting friends, Vicki turns it into an adventure. you feel as if you are on the journey with her. She takes you to places most people will never get to see and gives you such a vivid accounting of them you can picture them in your mind. Some of the situations she finds herself in has your giggling out loud. it is such a wonderful accounting of everyday Paris life. The book was one of the better chick lit books I have read in a long...
