Review: First Act - Belle Aurora - First Act (Night Fury #1)

First Act (Night Fury, #1)First Act by Belle Aurora
Bex's rating: 5 of 5 stars

A fabulous novella, Night Fury: First Act held and captivated my attention. The realism and normalcy of Cat is wonderful, to the point where I had nothing but empathy and respect for her character. Belle Aurora has managed to create a world with a kick-arse female lead, one who is flawed and complex. As such, this novella was a pretty spectacular introduction to an amazing series.

I went in knowing this book was a novella and mentally prepared myself as I was flicking through, knowing the end was near. And damn, what an ending it is. Belle Aurora has left me on my knees pleading for more, which thank goodness will not be a long wait.

My name is Catarina.
Or, that’s who I was christened to be, anyways.
I live in a convent. I am a nun in training. A postulant.
I am eighteen years old.

I am a predator.
No one is safe from me.

I am protected.
No one can get to me.

By day one way, by night another. They call on me.

My name is Catarina.
Codename: Night Fury.

No one is safe from me.

I will come for you.
