Title: Obsession and Sacrifice (Sequel to The Impostor, A Love Story)
Author: Tiffany Carmouche
Expected Release Date: February 11, 2013
Genre: New Adult Suspense Romance
Tour Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Obsession and Sacrifice, by Tiffany Carmouche, is an intense follow-up to The Imposter. Immediately picking up where book one left, we follow Nicole’s journey as she struggles to cope with the events of her past and her confused feelings about the two men in her life. Throughout Nicole’s battles, she has the additional concern of fighting for survival in a world where she’s not too sure who she can trust.

Once again the author, Tiffany Carmouche, takes the reader along a passionate, romance fueled adventure filled with palpable suspense, drama and action. We closely follow the three main characters which successfully allows us to bond and identify with them all. It’s impossible not to feel a connection with characters who are so creatively and realistically constructed.

Tiffany Carmouche impressively weaves together a narrative complete with heightened tension, compelling the reader to pick up the pace and turn the pages as quickly as possible to be able to keep up with the rollercoaster of action. The reader is left with an element of satisfaction, in addition to yet another cliffhanger that will no doubt leave the reader shouting a little at Tiffany Carmouche’s signature ending.

Obsession and Sacrifice is a romantic suspense of epic proportions.

Book Description:
Obsession and Sacrifice is the second book in a romantic trilogy about unexpected love and a woman's fight for survival.
When Nichole wakes up in the hospital room from a coma, she has no memory of who she is or how she got there. Only the scars on her body reveal some horrific event took place and she is lucky to be alive…alive…but could she still be in danger?

Her only hope to rediscover her past and avoid a killer's obsession lies in the hands of two men: sexy Dylan, her boyfriend, who used to captivate her and now prays she will remember how much they cared for one another, and Bradley, her charming best friend, who has secretly loved her all along. She feels safe around both men, but to her, they are strangers. Nicole must decide who to trust, not only with her heart, but with her life.
They are rivals--both men want to win her love. But they are allies as well. The two vow to give her a second chance at life and both will sacrifice everything to make sure she survives.

Hi Tiffany, we’re so excited that you could make it to Bex ‘n’ Books and could spare some time for this interview. For those of you who don’t know, Tiffany’s first book, The Imposter, made it to my personal Top 10 Reads of 2012 – yep it was that good! And now, Tiffany is releasing book two, Obsession and Sacrifice – make sure you check out my review above!
So, thanks Tiffany for taking the timeout to answer a few questions. Hopefully, our lovely followers will also be able to discover a little bit more about you and how awesome both you and your books are!
Thank you so much for having me Bex!
I am really honored to be one of YOUR TOP 10 Books of 2012! You read a lot of books!

Bex: For those followers who’ve been hiding under a rock or are new to our page, could you please just tell us a little bit about yourself.
Tiffany: I am just a woman suffering from the Peter Pan Syndrome. I NEVER WANT TO GROW UP! I guess because I grew up too fast!  I, like Nicole, was a young single mom,  who escaped from an abusive relationship. I fled to Alaska with My best friend Julie. We left everything we knew and thought we were going to have to live in an igloo and dodge polar bears. Yes, we were that naïve. But Alaska became one of my favorite adventures! (I love to travel and I love to live! Unlike Nicole, however, I didn’t stay. I came back to marry the man I had escaped from…he was my first love you see. I had some really hard years where I wasn’t sure how I was going to survive. But here I am, treading water, hoping to one day ride the waves! (I am JEALOUS of Bex. One day I will learn to surf! Lol) I am a single mom, trying to do my best. I have two amazing daughters who are my life. And I am so ready for this new chapter of my life! (Bex- I think a trip to Oz is in order! lol)
Bex: Tricky this one, hence the reason why I’m asking you to do it, and I’m not going to do it myself! Mwah! In 50 words or less, sum up your new book Obsession and Sacrifice.
Tiffany: I got it down to 54 words :)

Nicole wakes up with no memory. Scars on her body reveal a horrific event took place. Is she still in danger? Her only hope to rediscovering her past and surviving a killer's obsession lies in two men. She has a second chance at life and they will sacrifice everything to make sure she survives.

Bex: What are your hopes for your two books? Will you stop here or will we be hearing more from Nicole?

Tiffany: This is a trilogy and I am currently writing the third book. The release day will be this winter. But many people have asked me to do spin offs with some of the other characters and I already have some in the planning stages. (I love the characters so I don’t mind)

Bex: I love the variety of characters that you have created in your two books. Nicole’s strength, the gorgeous hunkiness of the men and their general awesomeness, all tied in with an edge of sexy as hell is a pretty impressive achievement. Which character(s) do you relate to the most, or maybe see elements of yourself in?
Tiffany: Nicole’s life in the first book was based on many of the experiences I had when I escaped to Alaska. I have heard she is naïve and hardheaded with a sense of adventure…that about sums me up!

Bex: Of course I have to ask, Dylan or Brad? I must admit I’m a Dylan fan.
Tiffany: I can’t decide. When I am writing about Dylan --I am Team Dylan. When I am writing about Bradley, I am so Team Bradley! I have even written 3 endings so even I don’t know who will win… It keeps it more fun for me too.  I definitely would not mind waking up with them by my bed J

Bex: Why romantic suspense? What drew you to this genre?
Tiffany: I started out telling about my experience in Alaska when I was escaping from a stalker. It wasn’t as intense as Nicole’s experience.  He was wanted for murder in Florida, but I don’t think he was a serial killer. It was actually my best friend Julie’s boyfriend who saved me. (No, there was no ½ naked warming of the bodies to stay alive)  (So, it started out as suspense.) Then my muse took over and reminded me that when I was there I dated some hot musicians and I thought it would be fun to have Dylan enter the picture.  I fell in love with him and before long my suspense was a romance! Then I put them together and voila! There you have it. It wasn’t my plan, but now it is one of my favorite genres to write!

Bex: If there is one thing that you learned since you started writing that you wish you knew when you first started out, what would that be? And can you talk a little about some mistakes you might have made as a new writer so that others don’t make the same mistakes?
Tiffany: Deadlines. I think when you finish the book you think it is close to being finished, but you need to add time waiting to get your book back from Beta Readers ( Some will be dolls and get it back to you in a little over a week…others you will never hear from.) But beta readers are such an important part of the journey and I can’t say enough about mine! Then you have the copy editor, again you have to wait… then you have the Formatter. Then when you get the book back you find mistakes your editor didn’t catch. I had been told by many authors in a book 300+ pages that there was a big chance the editor s would not find all the typos… (So it said she kissed his check instead of cheek) (Stupid auto spell check ) and when I uploaded it for some reason the words squished together. Patience, plenty of wine and a sense of humor are a good thing!

Bex: What are some of your favourite things to do outside of writing?
Tiffany: I love to dance. I actually choreograph first dances for wedding couples. I love to escape in the music as you will find in my novels. One of my favorite things to teach is ballroom for  couples who have been together for a long time. They often have not spent 45 minutes looking into each other’s eyes in a long time. It is adorable to see them blush and rekindle something. I love to sculpt. (I will send some pictures of things I was playing with incase you are interested. I am not great but I love it) I love outdoors activities and spending time with my family. And I love to travel. I plan to begin traveling again.  I’m looking for some couches to surf lol. Any takers? (Bex - Yep, I've got your back in Oz!)

Bex: What are five books that you recommend reading?
Tiffany: That is so mean! Just 5? Well YA Paranormal you have to read Ashes and Ice by Rochelle Maya Callen,  If you haven’t read TeresaGabelman’s The Protectors Damon You need too.
I can’t do it OMG there are so many amazing ones out there I can’t choose the last 3!!

Bex: Is there anything you would like to say to our followers?
Tiffany: I would love for you to come on the journey with me to Alaska!  Also in case any of you are interested. One of my next projects is a little more serious. I escaped an abusive relationship and am working on opening an online women’s center this year with a dear friend who is a survivor as well. I am writing a book featuring the stories of women who have gone through something similar—ether abuse from lovers, husbands, parents… and survived. I feel if we help give one woman the courage to leave, we will be a success. If you or someone you know would like to be a part of this project email me. I would love to hear from you. Tiffanycarmouche (at) ymail (dot) com I am excepting stories, poetry, drawings, photography etc. Please pass this on, I would love to hear from 50 women. I do think it will make a difference. But most of all I want to say it is wonderful meeting you! I would love to see who you envision as Dylan or Bradley. Stop by facebook anytime and say hi! Live, Laugh, Love and escape in the pages of books!~Tiffany Carmouche
Thank you, now just enough time for a few randoms! J

Do you ever write in your PJ’s?
I do!!! I love Pj’s! I think the world would be a better place if everyone would just wear PJ’s and fluffy slippers! Yes, all the world’s leaders should have to wear fluffy slippers! There are times, I grab a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise and set and I never get dressed or leave my computer. Usually when I have an empty house and my muse comes for an unexpected visit!

Sleep in or get up early?
I sometimes write all night because I don’t have to be attentive to anyone so I like to sleep in. Mmm covers feel so good in the morning when you are suppose to be getting out of them, don’t they?

Pet peeves?
Negative people or people who whine. Enjoy life it is too short not to cherish every second!

What did Santa bring you?
Oh Dylan or Bradley would have been nice!

Cats or dogs?
I have both! To be honest though, my favorite pets were raccoons, but they were illegal, so I had to let them go. I cried. (They were so cute! Their little hands worked just like peoples and they could pick pocket you, or open a coke bottle.) (We brought them to a place that reintroduced them to the wild because they were so spoiled!)

White wine or red?
My good friend Tina W says I like Kool Aid. I love White Granache, Zinvendale or Pink Moscotto. When we were in Italy together , she didn’t let me  live it down. (Currently sipping a White Russian)

Coffee or tea?
Oh coffee is soooooo heavenly! (with lots of cream and sugar)

Favorite food?
Ceviche! Who knows what that is? Mmm …Amazing I promise!

Vanilla or chocolate ice cream?
Chocolate, unless it is with my brother’s hot apple pie.

What is a movie or TV show that you watched recently and really enjoyed?
I love White Collar, Matt is such a hottie. Warm bodies  J  Crazy Stupid Love, Law Abiding Citizen… So many great ones to choose from.
