Review: The Seven Deadlies (A Guardian's Life #1) by Katherine Rochholz

The Seven Deadlies, by Katherine Rochholz, is a powerful gripping story that effectively kept me engaged and on edge. We are greeted by the amazing protagonist Kari, a woman with a complex history and future, a Guardian.

Kari's character is not one that I easily warmed to, yet I admired her characteristics, her dedication, and her ambition immediately. Her fiery, matter of fact nature was so very refreshing that she was a pleasure to follow.

Teamed with her soul mate James, we travel with Kari along a pretty epic and visual journey. A journey thwart with excitement, danger and passion. We also travel many times to visit Lucifer, which offered a creative and often a very witty exchange and batter between these two engaging characters.

The Seven Deadlies is a unique paranormal / supernatural read that will leave you desperate to know how Kari's story will develop. A very satisfying 4 fabulous fairies.
For The Guardians Of Earth...
Time Shall Stand Still...

Kari, Catherine Von Kampen, was born October 31st, 1472. Her life revolved around her younger brothers. Her life was destroyed by a demon on May 1st, 1490. She picked herself off the ground and became a Hunter. She was killed during her mission to seek revenge on November 16th 1492. The Death Fairy gave her the choice to become a Guardian. Forever shall time stand still, while she hunts down the being that destroyed her reason for living. She took the opportunity presented to continue on her path for revenge. She came back from hell on November 16th, 1493, and has continued to hunt the beings of hell ever since.
Flash forward to the year 2012. Kari was happy with status quo; she had her soul mate, James Colt, and his two sons at her side. However, now she has opened a door to hell releasing The Seven Deadly Sins from their cages in hell. Now she must not only battle the deadlies to send them back to their place in hell; she must fight a growing attraction to The Morning Star... Lucifer himself... Will the hunt for The Seven Deadlies destroy her chance at redeeming her soul? Or is Lucifer right... That she is destined to become the Mistress of Hell?

Like the mythical Phoenix, she rose from the ashes of death to defend mankind from the demons of hell. Kari gave her life to fight the beings of hell, and now she will risk her soul to continue the battle... Join her on her journey to Hell and back...

Reviews: Confessions of a Paris Party Girl - Vicki Lesage

Confessions of a Paris Party Girl by Vicki Lesage Lynn's rating: 4 of 5 stars Vicky needed a change from her mid-western life. Well what's a girl to do except move to Paris. After back-packing through Europe during collage breaks she wanted to try living there. Where better way to continue with her love affair with wine. This book was smart, sassy and fun. Trying to live in a new city with basic French, having to make all new friends and still have the time of your life. Everything from finding her apartment the first time to placing adds for meeting friends, Vicki turns it into an adventure. you feel as if you are on the journey with her. She takes you to places most people will never get to see and gives you such a vivid accounting of them you can picture them in your mind. Some of the situations she finds herself in has your giggling out loud. it is such a wonderful accounting of everyday Paris life.
