Review: Lily’s Leap - Tea Cooper

Reviewer: Danny Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Fairies Lily’s Leap was a refreshing, sweet read overall. At the beginning, we are introduced to Lilibeth Dungarven. She is born into a respectful family and bears the burden of running the family business at a young age. Her father is a drunkard who is unable to make wise decisions, so the family name and reputation depend on the Lily's business acumen. I really enjoyed the landscape, the horses… The scenery was beautiful, the descriptions were sweet and enchanting. Lily’s pain and bitterness were palpable when she talked about Dom. Even though she wasn’t in love with her late husband, she held him in great regard. Honestly at the age that she married him, I understand why theirs was a platonic love and no spark of passion. Lily herself says that they were more friends than lovers. The circumstances surrounding the deaths of Dom and her mother broke my heart. I love how strong Lily is, that side of her character was charismatic and e

Tour Review & Giveaway: Training Temptation by Diana Baron

Reviewer: Bex Rating: 3 out of 5 Fairies Training Temptation provides a spicy erotic read. Thick in the world of 'pony play', it admittedly took me a while to catch up, but once I did, I was able to engage with the story line and the characters. The characters Caroline and Edward are easy to follow. We're given enough background information on them that readers will want to follow their story and will no doubt caught up with the hot and heavy action. Overall, Training Temptation was an enjoyable short read. It was definitely worth the time it took to read it. It also opened up a new world of erotica for me.

Guest Post & Giveaway: Amy K McClung

The One Song that Epitomizes Cascades of Moonlight (Book #1 in The Parker Harris Series) The moment I saw this topic, on a list of suggested guest posts, I knew I had to write about it. Music has inspired many scenes in my books. There was a song that almost sounded as though it was written with Parker and Quinn in mind. After I wrote Cascades of Moonlight, I came across it on my iPod and it made me do a double take as I listened to the words. I had to play it on repeat several times and each time I could see Parker and Quinn's story play out in my mind. It's a country song by Lady Antebellum called Can't Take My Eyes Off You. I know that the bridges that I've burned Along the way Have left me with these walls and these scars That won't go away And opening up, has always been the hardest thing Until you came The first verse of the song (listed above) speaks to Parker's struggles with becoming a werewolf and how she pushed everyone

Tour Review: Child of the Sacred Earth - Alicia Michaels

Reviewer: Bex Rating 4 out of 5 Fairies I thoroughly enjoyed Alicia Michaels' latest installment in her The Lost Kingdom of Fallada series. It was a great read and was once again a book that was well-crafted and easy to absorb. The main character Jocylene was a character that I enjoyed from the start. I was able to empathize with her and readily wanted to follow her journey. Her journey, just as book one, is a pretty epic one. The author creates such a vivid fantasy world, it's impossible not to get caught up in it. Also like book one, there is a clear romance running through, yet remarkable and refreshingly, the author doesn't follow the same pattern. She really mixes it up with book two. We are introduced to the strong and determined Rothatin, who is a fierce and loyal warrior. We are also introduced to Eli, a complex, yet utterly gorgeous shifter. Cue fireworks and frustration! I was most definitely left wanting more, yet I was also a little frustrated wi

Release Day Review & Giveaway: Becoming Invisible - Tiffany Carmouche

Reviewer: Bex Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies Readers are thrown deep into the action in the opening of Becoming Invisible by the talented author Carmouche. It is clear that the author wants to immerse her reader into the unfolding drama and continue to feel the palpable tension from book two, Obsession and Sacrifice. All of this is achieved with well-crafted dialogue and with a pace that will leave readers gasping for breath. Becoming Invisible will take fans of Carmouche's gripping series onto a roller-coaster ride of heartache, passion and tension. All three will leave readers with their heart's pounding and with the desperate desire to know what's in store for the fabulous characters in this series. Alas, the author does it again. She's determined to keep her readers desperate and waiting for answers. This cliff-hanger ending in Becoming Invisible is at its best. Truly, the author has out done herself with this climatic ending. An ending that will have r

Review: The Guilty Innocent - D.N. Simmons

Reviewer: Brittany  Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies  Holy Hannah! I cannot express enough how much I loved this book. I read the last one and thought I'd love for this to be a series. And what do ya know...EUREKA! I was informed it was. Imagine how giddy I was when I learned of this and received the book. I was entranced from beginning to the end. I was even called a giggly little school girl at work I loved it so much. I think my stomach got quite the workout from this lovely novel. The dialogue is so good and Natasha is so brave. I'm glad that she has embraced her abilities more from the first book. It is very unfortunate what happened to Annette but I'm proud of how feisty Natasha became because of it. She was sad and forlorn when she found out and the lovely men in her life where there to help support her. This book is filled with strong, independent women and true flippin' gentleman. It's not everyday you get to read about the gentlemanly ways of these mal

Review: Windows of the Soulless - Olivia Owens

Reviewer: Sarah Jane Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies Windows of the Soulless is about a man who constantly tries to be human, even as a vampire and always aims to do the right thing. However, he has and does have a terrible time with tragedy. I thought this book seemed really dark to begin with, but I still persevered, and to be honest, it was nothing like I thought. It was deep and thrilling, and I swear, I had it open for two days straight. I love how the main character tries to keep his good manners and breeding in place from his human life, even though he's old as dirt. This book is defo a must read for all you folks out there who want a good vamp story that's nothing like Twilight.

Review: Ordinary - Lindy Zart

Reviewer: Brittany Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies Upon reading the synopsis of this book I thought I might like it. Once I finally started reading it, I was utterly confused. The synopsis didn't match up with like the first four chapters! What I was reading was enjoyable, but not what I expected. I love Honor as a character. She's so kind, mature, and constantly concerned with others around her. As stated in the book many times, she lives up to her name. She is definitely honorable. The fact that she is constantly standing up for people who are being mistreated just made me love her even more. When she went to Christians home to check on him, I was in awe. She truly cared about others, even when she had places to be. Even with his mother treating her like she did, she continued to be concerned. She's gonna be a special UDK. I just know it. Ryder. Ryder. Ryder. You evil little man you. I knew something wasn't right when he met her in the restroom. The dialogue they

Review: Three of Hearts - W Ferraro

Reviewer: Brittany Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies I absolutely, positively love this book. The characters are so real. The struggles they dealt with were so real. The love they displayed and how they displayed it was so real. Everything was SO REAL. And I loved it all the more because of it. It was almost as if I was reading a very well written autobiography, only it was all complete fiction. I started this book before work. Snuck in some while AT work. Allowed my husband to drive so that I could read more (and that's saying a lot, especially since it was my car). And upon arriving back home finished it. I did not want to put this book down from start to finish. Now on to my review of the story line and characters. I absolutely loved these characters. Seth is an amazing father, and I fell in love even more with him when I started reading how he was interacting with his three children. He is honestly everything a father should be. He is stern when needed, but oh so loving a

Review: White Picket Prisons - Phil Taylor

Reviewer: John Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies I hadn’t read any reviews or a synopsis before I read the book, so my first thoughts were that it was going to be a ‘buddy’ type book, you know, old friends together... Then as I got a few pages into it, I thought it was a ‘coming of second age’, your 30s, where you start to re-evaluate your life, cope with the loss of loved ones; divorce etc Guess number three was it was about the secret lives of parents; did the father of one have a secret affair with the mother of another of the best friends? I was totally wrong, which made the unfolding plot all the better as I was in the same boat as the group of friends, events happening around them that they don’t understand, close calls from apparent accidents that grow more & more deadly as they realise that these are no accidents... The bond that holds these friends together is tested to extremes as they begin to unravel the meaning behind the events; familiar places take on a sin

Review: King Hall - Scarlett Dawn

Reviewer: Bex Rating: 5 out of 5 phenomenal fairies! King Hall is an epic new adult paranormal read. It's filled with deep and moving drama, hotness that'll have your toes curling and offers of story of friendship that'll have you desperate for the awesome author to get a move on with book two. Did I enjoy it? Hell, no! I bloody well LOVED this book! I found myself forever second and third guessing with King Hall, and was constantly blown away by the twists and turns. This teamed with the whole array of phenomenally well-rounded and three-dimensional characters that the author Scarlett Dawn creates left me well and truly in love with this series. I loved Lily, the protagonist. I believed in her character and her quest. I actively cheered, laughed and cried for her. Lily, combined with the three Prodigies, help to provide a narrative that is gripping; so much so, I virtually inhaled this book. The book is superbly crafted and pushes forward at a perfect pace

Review: Desires Unleashed - D.N. Simmons

Reviewer: Brittany Rating: 4 out of 5 Fairies Reading this book was really hard for me at first. I’m a firm believer of finish what you start; and thank goodness for that, otherwise I would have missed out on a really good book. This book starts out telling the story from four different perspectives. Various aspects tie together in each character’s tale, but overall they each tell their own story. This aspect was confusing to me at first. And even by the end of the book, I still don’t understand where one character had anything to do with the main story. But it was a good read nonetheless. The main story kept me on my toes. I wanted to know who this sick, twisted murderer was, and how it would be all tied together in the end. Certain “lifestyle choices” took me a little bit to get used to, but I eventually became comfortable with the literature. The mystery of it all was very enjoyable and once Natasha accepted her gift, I seen things were going to quickly come together. Never

Review: Dance The Moon Down - RL Bartram

Reviewer: John Rating 5 out of 5 Fairies At first, I was somewhat worried by the cast list at the front of the book, there seemed to be so many characters to remember; my worries were unfounded though, I never had to refer to the list, as most of the characters they passed into & out of the narrative as it unfolded. The book is undoubtedly historically accurate and paints a picture of WW1 that most of us will be unfamiliar with, that of the effect of the war at home. The story is based around the life of Victoria, an upper middle class lady as she passes from the privileged life of her upbringing in the early pages of the book, through marriage to the love of her life & the subsequent reality of a life experience she could never have imagined. I think most of us have some idea of the muddy hell the soldiers lived through, there is enough newsreel evidence of that; but at home life was difficult in its own way; the lack of information about the fate of loved ones;

Tour Review: Obsession & Sacrifice - Tiffany Carmouche

Reviewer: Bex  Rating: 5 out of 5 Fairies  Obsession and Sacrifice, by Tiffany Carmouche, is an intense follow-up to The Impostor. Immediately picking up where book one left, we follow Nicole’s journey as she struggles to cope with the events of her past and her confused feelings about the two men in her life. Throughout Nicole’s battles, she has the additional concern of fighting for survival in a world where she’s not too sure who she can trust. Once again the author, Tiffany Carmouche, takes the reader along a passionate, romance fueled adventure filled with palpable suspense, drama and action. We closely follow the three main characters which successfully allows us to bond and identify with them all. It’s impossible not to feel a connection with characters who are so creatively and realistically constructed. Tiffany Carmouche impressively weaves together a narrative complete with heightened tension, compelling the reader to pick up the pace and turn the pages as quickl
