Winter Fae, by Melissa Turner Lee and Pauline Creeden,is an intriguing start to what's set to be a pretty impressive fantasy series. It only took about 45 mins or so to read and every step I was engaged. Winter Fae is very much a short prequel to the series and sets up an exciting background and lays the foundations to an interesting concept and very readable characters.
It was very enjoyable, and most definitely piqued my interest enough to read the next installment which I hope will be a full length novel. I didn’t see any real evidence of Steampunk within the novella and would describe Winter Fae as a fantasy read. Maybe this will be explored more in the follow up. 4 fae fairies.
