Ashley
Robertson resides in sunny Orlando, Florida and loves reading and
writing about everything urban fantasy and paranormal romance. When she
isn't writing, you'll find her spending time with family and friends,
training in her home gym, traveling and exploring new places, drinking
fine red wines, and making gourmet coffees with her Nespresso machine.
Crimson Groves captivated me from the beginning and constantly delved into the unexpected; I was constantly surprised by the plot and character development. Ashley Robertson, very successfully weaves an interesting tale of action, intrigue and romance, all with a paranormal twist.
I really like Abby's character and cheered her from the sidelines (fairly vocally at times). Additionally, I completely was sucked in by Bronx and Tyler's characters; this impressed me somewhat considering the character development that focuses on these two male characters in particular.
The story well crafted. I especially enjoyed the plot structure and development. I wasn't always convinced by Tyler's voice however. His persona, as portrayed by his dialogue, was somewhat childlike; he regularly sounded more like a 15 year old boy as opposed to a man.
On the whole, I really enjoyed Crimson Groves and give it a highly recommended 4 stars! Plus I can't wait to read Unguarded.

ReplyDeletemy favourite vampire(s) have to be Demitri Belikov as the evil Strigoi. Hunky Eric Northman from true Blood. And the dark and brooding yet totally lick-able Damon Salvatore.
